Yutong donates two million yuan for Sichuan earthquake

A 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Lushan county of Ya'an city in Southwest China's Sichuan province on April 20, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. More than 200 people remain dead or missing, nearly 12,000 injured in the remote mountainous villages of the province with 1,000 listed in serious condition. On April 21, the charitable enterprises in Zhengzhou donated over two million yuan via Zhengzhou Municipal Red Cross Society, among which Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co., Ltd. donated two million yuan.

After learning the news of Lushan earthquake, the Municipal Red Cross Society called for the communities and citizens to raise fund for the quake-hit areas. A number of charitable enterprises wanted to make donations via the Municipal Red Cross Society. Yutong donated two million yuan immediately to aid in relief efforts who is the first enterprise in Zhengzhou to donate money via the Municipal Red Cross Society.

Yutong is dedicated to the support and involvement of charitable and welfare undertakings. It has made donations for disaster relief many times, such as Indian Ocean tsunami, Wenchuan earthquake and so on. Meanwhile, Yutong has also been providing aids for vulnerable groups over the years.
