The China (Hangzhou) International Green Vehicle Industry Expo 2013 (GVE China 2013) took place in Hangzhou Peace International Exhibition Center on July 12th.-14th. 2013. Yutong brought two fuel-saving and new energy buses, namely ZK6120CHEVG1 and ZK6126CHEVG2, to the exhibition, and got a lot of attention, showcasing its powerful leading strength in the new energy bus field.

The background billboard of Yutong stand, with “New energy, new value, new mileage – create greater green value” as the theme on it, was very conspicuous at the exhibition scene. A number of visitors gathered in front of the stand and inquired about the ralated information about Yutong new energy products. It is learned the two exhibited models are the mainstream of China’s new energy buses, which are very well-known in the industry. The ZK6120CHEVG1 bus model is a 12-meter gas-electric hybrid city bus, featuring the monocoque body, leaf spring and low entry structure. It can increase the passenger capacity by 12 percent and cut fuel consumption by 30 percent, becoming the best-selling new energy bus model in the industry. The ZK6126CHEVG2 is a 12-meter diesel-electric hybrid city bus. With the European-style BRT appearance and streamlined styling, the vehicle is deemed as a moving scenery on road.

In addition, unlike the conventional diesel or gas vehicles, the two exhibited vehicles adopted the continuously variable transmission technology with good ride comfort. The pure electric drive at the vehicle starting moment avoids the roar of the engine throttle. The brake is triggered through the motor retarder, avoiding the generation of brake noise. The vehicle always runs in a smooth status, which greatly reduces the operating noise and achieves a sedan-like ride comfort.  

During the exhibition, the organizer also held the China (Hangzhou) International New Energy Market Promotion Summit Forum, inviting the well-known companies and authoritative experts to share the advanced experience of the development of new energy vehicles. Li Gaopeng, director of Yutong New Energy Dept., delivered a speech themed “Urban life becomes healthier with everyone’s effort”, sharing Yutong’s leading experience in the development of new energy vehicles with the participants.

The related industrial data showed that Yutong’s new energy products saw a rapid sales growth. Only in the first half of 2013, the sales volume of Yutong new energy products reached 2,000 units. In the future, the Yutong new energy products, along with the further growth of the sales volume, will create greater green value for more users and the healthy development of cities.
