According to the “12^th Five-year Sci-Tech Program”issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the state will actively support the development of fuel-saving and new energy vehicles including alternative fuel vehicles. Under this preferential policy, a number of cities in China are involved in the application of fuel-saving and new energy buses and Chongqing is one of them. The first batch of LNG bus project have been put into operation in Chongqing, and 14 intercity routes all used Yutong LNG buses with a total number of 95 units.

It is learned, among the 95 Yutong LNG buses, 74 units of them adopt the model of ZK6127HAN9 and the rest 21 units ZK6938 HAN9, and both of these two are the representative models of Yutong LNG bus products. Featuring many advantages like low maintenance costs, long driving range, short refilling time, good safety, high reliability and so on, Yutong LNG buses became the natural choice for Chongqing’s green transport system.

According to statistics, Yutong’s market share of LNG buses ranked first in China and is increasing step by step. Since March 2012, Yutong have successively received big orders of LNG project from Ningbo, Beijing, Suzhou and other cities, totally selling 129 units of LNG city buses and 75 units of LNG coaches. Another 100 Yutong LNG city buses were delivered to Langfang, Hebei province on April 2. Meanwhile, for the energy-saving and emission-reduction projects in Binhai of Tianjing, Baoding of Hebei province, Zhengjing of Jiangsu province, Bengbu of Anhui province, Zaozhuang of Shandong province, Jiaozuo of Henan province and so on, Yutong LNG products are fully or mostly adopted.
