The 5^th Session of ministerial conference of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) kicked off in Beijing July 19, 2012. Chinese leaders and the Chairman of the African Union Commission, together with foreign ministers and heads in charge of foreign economic cooperation affairs from 50 African countries, were present at the conference. As the sponsor for the transportation service of the FOCAC, Yutong provided 18 buses for the conference.

We are looking forward to seeing more and more such kind of buses getting into our country and hope we can strengthen the cooperation in this area through the FOCAC,” said a foreign leader while participating in the 5^th session of FOCAC.

Yutong buses bring the ministers of 50 African countries to the forum site

The FOCAC acts as the collective dialogue mechanism between China and African countries within the scope of South-South cooperation. The reception vehicles for this conference not only reflect the highest level of China's bus industry, but also are the showcase of China’s national image. After years of research, Yutong has outstripped its counterparts in terms of technology and is an outstanding representative of China’s bus industry.

In recent years, Yutong actively explored the overseas market and its buses were exported to over 70 countries and regions. With twelve percent market share worldwide, Yutong has become the bus builder in the world. Besides the sales business, Yutong also attaches great importance to the construction of after-sales service system. Establishing spare parts warehouses in , Ghana and Dubai, Yutong has ensured the timely availability of spare parts in different areas and guaranteed the normal operation of the vehicles through the sound inventory management and logistics system.

It is learned this is not the first time for Yutong to sponsor the FOCAC. Early in 2009, Yutong was the only official bus supplier for the 4^th Session of FOCAC held in Egypt. Besides FOCAC, Yutong buses also serviced many other big and important activities like Shanghai World Expo and Beijing Olympic Games. At the 60^th anniversary of the founding of the PRC, Yutong was the only bus builder who provided both the float and buses for transporting soldiers, students and mass paraders. In addition, Yutong buses have successfully served some other large-sized sport games and events like the Asian Cup, China National Games, Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, as well as the two sessions of the NPC and CPPCC.
