The 2^nd China (Hangzhou) international Green Vehicle Industry Expo (GVE CHINA) was held at Peace International Exhibition and Conference Center, Hangzhou, China on August 9, 2012. With the theme “New energy, new value, new mileage”, Yutong brought four bus models to the exhibition, showcasing its latest technology, application and achievements in the area of new energy vehicles.

Yutong ZK6126CHEVG2, ZK6120CHEVG1 and ZK6140CHEVNG1 hybrid buses as well as ZK6100EGAA electric bus lined up at Yutong stand, representing its powerful technical strength in the new energy area. 

Right after the opening ceremony, Yutong stand has been packed with visitors who wanted to have a close at the new energy vehicles. The ZK6140CHEVNG1 hybrid bus raised got a lot of attention due to its extra long body. “This bus is the longest new energy vehicle in China. A body of over 13 meters is really unique in the market. The fuel saving rate of the bus reaches 30% despite the large size,” one of the Yutong staff told the reporter.

The ZK6100EGAA electric bus features streamlined and stylish appearance. The visitors were interested in this model. “It is so cute, and the head of the vehicle really looks like a dolphin,” said the visitors. With the transparent roof, the vehicle has a good transmission of light, and the bionics design brings vivid atmosphere to the body compared with conventional ones. Equipped with Yutong proprietary electric drive system, the vehicle features low energy consumption, low noise and zero emission. At present, the vehicles have been put into operation at Zhengdong New District of Zhengzhou, and are mainly used for urban sightseeing.

The ZK6126CHEVG2 and ZK6120CHEVG1 hybrid buses feature good fuel economy and environment friendliness. The ZK6126CHEVG2 hybrid buses have been used in batch in Hangzhou, eastern China’s Zhejiang province. With streamlined and trendy appearance, the buses have become the moving landscape in the city. Adopted integral and low entry structure, the ZK6120CHEVG1 hybrid bus increases the passenger loading capacity by 20 percent and cuts the fuel consumption by 5 percent. It is dubbed as the lightest city bus in the area of new energy vehicles. Adopted high-strength steel, the weight has been cut down without sacrificing the quality. Meanwhile, its reliability, durability and safety and noise-reduction also have seen decent performance..  

As the bus brand in China, Yutong has kept a low profile in developing the new energy vehicles. Through R&D and innovation, it has overcome many difficulties and achieved good results. “Yutong Plug-in Hybrid City Bus Technology Research” and “Yutong Electric Vehicle Technology Research and Demonstration Facing the New Business Model” have been listed in National 863 Program, marking its powerful strength in the area of new energy vehicle research. In addition, Yutong has invested 2.435 billion yuan to build a production base of fuel efficient and new energy vehicles, which will be specialized in the production of 10-18m hybrid city buses and 7-14m electric city buses.

Besides the four new energy buses showed at the exhibition, the operation model of new energy vehicles actively promoted by Yutong attracted more attention. Through the operation of Yutong new energy vehicles in a number of cities, such as Zhengzhou, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Haikou, Chongqing and so on in recent year, Yutong has formed a set of mature and well-built operation model of new energy vehicles, providing comprehensive solution to customers.
