Since February 15, Libya has become chaotic because of social upheaval. Chinese government has taken urgent measures to evacuate Chinese nationals from Libya by air, sea and road, which is the overseas evacuation so far. A total of 35,860 Chinese national had evacuated from Libya as of March 2, among which 20,745 had already returned to China. Yutong buses, as the main transportation tool on roads, played an important role on carrying Chinese nationals in the process. The evacuees were very emotional when they saw the buses made in their homeland coming to aid them.

Libya, a country in northern Africa, also purchased some Yutong buses. The tough road condition, hot climate and dusty air in northern Africa are really challenging for buses running in the area. The local government in Libya chose Yutong buses for they attached great importance to bus quality. Unexpectedly, Yutong buses would carry the countryman to evacuate amid the chaos. “After boarding the bus made by my motherland, I feel safe and comfortable as if I were at home,” said an evacuee. Feeling the power strength of the motherland amid the turbulent situation, many evacuees burst into tears.
