2011 Beijing International Exhibition on Buses Trucks & Components was held at China National Convention Center on May 12-14, 2011. Yutong presented at the expo with the designated bus model for Yutong Cup Economical Driving Skills Contest, school bus, command vehicle for traffic emergency, hybrid bus and so on, among which the ZK6106PHEVG1 hybrid city bus independently developed by Yutong became the mainstream bus model of energy-saving and new energy vehicles, and was granted Best New Energy Bus.

The hybrid bus is a 10.5-meter integral and low-entry city bus. The appearance features full-view front windshield and extra large side windows, adding aesthetic feeling to the bus. Adopted space expanding technology, the space is deployed more rationally with simple and human-friendly interiors. In respect of the power performance, the bus is provided with high-torque three-phase asynchronous motor as drive system as well as series-parallel hybrid powertrain.
