Secretary of CPC Central Committee for Discipline Inspection inspects Yutong

In the morning of May 18, He Guoqiang, Secretary of CPC Central Committee for Discipline Inspection, accompanied by Xu Guangchun, secretary of CPC Henan Provincial Committee and Wang Wenchao, Zhengzhou municipal party secretary, inspected Yutong company. He encouraged Yutong to strengthen their scientific research and internal management, actively explore the market, and consistently enhance their self-reliant innovation capability and core competitiveness.

Accompanied by Tang Yuxiang, President of Yutong Group, He Guoqiang toured Yutong Industrial Park by riding on a Yutong bus and listened to the company’s operational situation. The key point of He’s inspection was to see how enterprises are developing amid the global financial turmoil. He felt delighted after learning that Yutong’s turnover reached 14.078 billion Yuan in 2008, up 12 percent from last year despite the adverse effects of the macroeconomic environment.

”I have noticed that all buses running in the n streets are from Yutong, when I visited last year.” said He.

”Yutong signed export orders of 5348 unit buses with . At present, the buses running in reached more than 3000 units and the CKD factory has also been established there, thus achieving both product being exported and technology being transferred.” said Tang.

In the experiment center, He carefully watched the advanced experiment equipment such as the vibration test rig of a complete bus and the road simulation test machine. He asked specific questions about the test principles and the test effects. The conventional reliability test carried out on a test site in Xiangfan of Hubei Province lasts 30,000 km and needs 6 months, but it only needs 15 days to reach the equivalent effect on the road simulation test machine. He was extremely pleased to learn this fact. He said enterprises will seize the initiative in development only if they have continuously improved their self-innovation capability and hopes that Yutong can achieve new breakthroughs in some critical technologies.

At Tengfei Square, He watched the newly developed sample buses such as the full-aluminum city bus and the ZK6147. He also stepped onto the 25-meter-long BRT city bus, experiencing its operational performance personally.

Prior to his departure, He earnestly urged that the R&D strength should be further increased in an effort to occupy and expand the market with leading-edge technology.
